The I Do Shop with Ringmaster David Connolly Dream Create Trust
an expert

While lists of what to-do and when to-do them are widely available, Connolly attests that even the most exhaustive list can’t alleviate the stress of becoming an expert planner while also being the focus of the day itself.

The challenge comes when an amateur, whose life is already too busy, decides to become an expert overnight as a mediator, treasurer, facilitator, show producer, master negotiator, therapist, sounding board and punching bag as well as a leading authority on fashion, flowers, food, décor, invitations, venues and of course proper etiquette. Oh, don’t forget the things the lists can’t prepare you with – instinct and experience.

The roles of planner and bride -- or groom -- are almost diametrically opposed! The fact that wedding planners HIRE wedding planners for their own weddings should tell you that nowhere on the ‘day-of’, planner responsibilities list is ‘let go and enjoy’.
